More Boxes with Milk Carton lids

These boxes were just too much fun to make!  After creating the Valentine version for Stamp Club, I moved on to these....

Important Note:  some of you struggled at Stamp Club with your first attempt at this box and lid. But now that you know what you are doing, please try it again.  I promise you will LOVE making these!  Here is the link for a video tutorial in case you need to watch it again.  Good luck!

More with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits

While preparing for Stamp Club, I couldn't help myself and made a few more treat bags using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits:

This was made with retired DSP and retired stamp set called Rain or Shine.

The one below is turned side-ways and holds notecards.
The treat bag is not just for edible goodies! Lots of things would fit into this darling bag.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

January 2015 Stamp Club

Happy New Year!  We are starting a brand new term of Stamp Club this month.  We have a few new members, and are so happy to have them!  Welcome "newbies" and welcome back "veterans".

We made 3 projects this month, with product mostly from the Occasions 2015 catalog that just began on January 6.  There are some FANTASTIC products in there - get your wish lists started!!

Box with Milk Carton lid:
I learned how to make this adorable box by watching the VIDEO here.
Ours was a Valentine version with a traditional Red/Black/White theme with hearts.
Box bottom:  Real Red card stock (7-7/16" x 7-7/16")
For those who are "measuring challenged"...That's actually "just a smidge smaller than 7-1/2" x 7- 1/2".
Box top: "Back to Black" DSP  (3" x 10 1/2").
Card stock scraps (for hearts and tag) in Real Red, Basic Black, Red Glimmer Paper, Silver glimmer Paper, Whisper White.
The "You & Me" stamp is from Perfect Pennants.
Punches:  1-1/4" circle; 1-3/4"Scallop; Heart (retired); small heart from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  1/8" circle punch.
The medium sized red heart is from a  framelit in the Circle Card Thinlits.
Real Read ink and Cherry Cobbler Baker's twine were also used.
Preferred adhesive is Sticky Strip or similar "extra sticky tape adhesive".

Treat Bag:
This is pretty self-explanatory with the terrific, new Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die*. But Stampin' Up! has provided this handy video tutorial in case you need it!
*Mini Treat Bag Thinlints Dies requires Big Shot with necessary platform and  acrylic cutting pads*
Birthday Bash Specialty DSP (6"x 12")
Hello Honey 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (coordinates just fine with the Crushed Curry color in DSP)
Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim
Calypso Coral Pompom Trim
"Eat Cake" image from One Tag Fits All
Note Tag Punch and 1/8" circle punch
Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay ink pads
Baker's Twine in Metallic Gold

"Best Day Ever" Card:
This card uses a stamp set from the current Sale-A-Bration promotion.  You cannot purchase this set, but you can earn it for FREE with a $50 purchase.

I copied the card directly from the SAB promotion brochure on page 3 with a few substitutions.
I exchanged the Angled Tag Topper Punch with the Scalloped Tag Topper.
I also used Baker's Twine in Metallic gold instead of the Crushed Curry as shown in the brochure.
Lastly, I substituted a simple rhinestone in the center of the flower instead of the Vintage Faceted Buttons.
This stamp set is so much fun to use - those "dots" are magic.  They create the best "Bokeh" effect (in photography Bokeh (from Japanese "blurry") is that soft, fuzzy or blurry look given to lights in a background.  Just dreamy!!
